What Goldfish Do That We No Longer Can
Studies show goldfish now stay with a moment longer than a human. Just imagine what reclaiming your focus could unlock.

Inspire Your Day!
Have you been married 10 years? → 3,650 days.
Same career for 20 years? → 7,300 days
Or had the same body for 57 years? → 20,805 days
Hold that.
Now, did you try the butter-the-toast exercise from last week’s InspoLetter? You know, spread all the way to edges?
During the past week did someone ask you: “How was your day?”
And did you respond:
“How was my day?? Oh look here at this toast I’m buttering—I didn’t miss an edge! It was beautiful. I heard every word. I didn’t have to ask them to repeat anything like usual. I spread the focus and presence generously across each still-frame slice.”

Me? I can’t show you my toast from yesterday. I actually really nailed that one, went all the way to the edges. It’s gone now though 🍃
Do we let go of needing the ultimate buttering designer kitchen with the double islands and floating shelves with stunning tchotchkes?
What about the imported artisan knife from Milan?
Have you let go of needing the ideal external conditions??
So … what was your days for the ‘same body years’ from above? ☝️
We don’t live 57 years, rather 20,805 individual days—each one a golden opportunity with the butter knife in our hands.
I don’t have everything I want. But » do I already have what I need to butter today’s toast? Is it possible?
Well . . . I’ll see you next week. It’s in your hands → the only real day.
It’s a gift. Good luck Friend 🧈

Mind 🤯
Digital‑era research reveals that our average attention span has collapsed from 12 seconds to about 8 in the last 25 years.
We now focus for less time than a goldfish (10 seconds)—and the gap is widening!
Wait, what? 🤯😂🐟️

Soul ⚡️
🎶Once I fall in love, then I'll be happy
But then you fall in love and there's still a hole
Once I get some money, it'll all be easy
But then you get that money, you still feel broke
Once I get a little older, I won't worry
Then you get older and it don't feel like it should
I'm thinking once I learn to grow right where I'm planted
Maybe that's when life starts getting good
I'm thinking once I learn to soak up every moment
I'll realize my life's already good 🎵
