What if now is already enough?

I’ve finally accepted I won’t get everything I want. It’s been proven. Yet I still chase—and suffer. What if the good life isn’t about getting, but about wanting what’s already here?

Heart

Hey Friend, you remember last InspoLetter, we talked about pruning, cutting back the good to get the great?

So…talk to me…what did you prune??

It all made me think of Siddhartha Gautama—who later became the Buddha. You know his story?

👑 Born into a rich family, royalty, a prince in the Śākya clan, Siddhartha had wealth, power, and ease.

Bro lived on easy street. All comfort no conflict. No worries. No bills. No work.

Check out his socials, he was streaming 💸 🏰 😍 » Lived in opulent palaces, surrounded by music, fine food, and sensual pleasures.

100? Honestly, I hustle everyday trying to get these things. Not just material stuff. I also desire the fulfilling relationships, the reputation, good health, lasting friendships. The good life.

I want to get what I want. Period.

✂️ But Siddartha, took the sheers » Cut off the flower bulbs for deep roots and flow. Pruned away for eventual legacy bulbs.

Cut off the roles, relationships, and Rolexes he was clinging to.

🧘 Even cut off his hair, shed his royal garments, and took up the robes of a wandering monk. He gave up not just status, but identity—choosing uncertainty and conflict.

What is the good life? Is it getting what you want OR wanting you already have?

Me? I’ve finally accepted I won’t get everything I want. It’s been proven I can’t. No matter my willpower. Yet . . . I still try and choose to suffer.

So I wonder Friend, what would happen if I instead wanted everything I already have?

💰 Modern Equivalent Estimate
