What do you give away without knowing its worth?
We dismiss what feels slow or inconvenient. But what if that’s the soil where our future grows?

Thanks for being here again. I love sharing this space with you 💪 🫶
So . . . Do you know the greatest real estate deal in history?
Indeed, it was Thomas Jefferson buying the Louisiana Territory.
828,000 square miles for 15 million dollars » 3 cents per acre. In today’s money, that’s only 75 cents an acre.
I can’t even water my lawn for one night with that 🤣
Question for you: Who sold it to Jefferson?? Right, France. It was Napoleon.

Louisiana Territory is the yellow middle . . . that’s crazy, like 1/3 of America!
But . . . Why did Napoleon rush to sell??
Napoleon’s poor decision to sell Louisiana was rooted in his obsession with Haiti—a colony he clung to as the keystone of his New World empire.
Bro wanted the shipping routes through Haiti, but they’d already begun their revolution, led by former slaves who refused to return to chains.
Napoleon sent tens of thousands of troops to crush the uprising, only to be decimated by guerrilla resistance and yellow fever. Gambled everything on reclaiming Haiti, and lost.
Lost big.
Rushed to sell the 828,000 American acres to get war funds to tighten the Haitian shipping route. Of course it’s not logical, the ego was steering that wheel!
Been there? 🤣
Get this » he sold the Louisiana Territory without ever setting foot on its soil.
To him, it was a distant abstraction—color on a map, not a lived reality.
He didn’t walk the Mississippi River, stare up at Pikes Peak in Colorado, or Glacier National Park and Yellowstone (yes that Yellowstone). All for 75 cents an acre.
Tons of natural resources to load up on too.
Dang right? Ah, the old Ivory Tower disease.

Where’s America again?
But wait . . . am I Napoleon? Is it possible?
See I easily dismiss relationships, opportunities, projects in my life—simply because I avoid the journey.
We sell out to what’s loud and urgent . . . or annoying » and overlook what’s quietly expansive.
Friend, today, before you brush it off or sell it out to illusionary thinking . . . travel there. Be there. Feel it entirely.
Napoleon never went to America.
What if he had?
Mind 🤓
The U.S. is 354 times larger than Haiti in land area.
Haiti is the size of the state of Maryland.
The US economy is 2100x Haiti 🤔

That’s too good AGB. 100
