Quit Choosing Small
There’s a bigger you underneath the routine you keep calling “normal.”

Prefer to listen? I recorded a full audio version for members inside Invisible World.
Heart
You’re here again. I’m glad.
I love our space together. 100
This is where our Inner Work happens.
Where you challenge limiting beliefs. Where you reveal illusions you once thought were truths.
It’s where I get unhinged. But on purpose.
Today I’m suffering from unfulfilled expectations of travel, exploration, and adventure.
Between you and me, I feel like a failure there.
I feel like I ‘travel’ from work to home, home back to work, to my son’s game, to work, to home, grocery store, home to work, then stop at UPS store to return all the stuff I ordered at Amazon . . . while on my way back to work.
But . . . when am I going to the real Amazon in South America? Will I ever rent that boat at Lake Powell? Or ski down Mary Jane again?
It’s been 9 years since I even left the country. And that was for a work assignment so . . . doesn’t count right?
My passport is expired anyway.
Hmm.
Friend, maybe you are a frequent flyer and just ordered a second passport because your first one stamped out 🌎️
Fine. Then what haven’t you experienced yet, that you wished you had?
You’ve seen it, planned it, visualized it, mantra-ed it, and it’s still not here!

Ah, I see you. You want the truth from me?
Fine. Okay fine.
The scientifically verified data, the black white, the brass tacks: I’ve actually traveled roughly 27 billion miles.
Way beyond the Australia outback. Beyond Mt. Vinson with Todd.
I’m interstellar.
100? Fine 100.
I’ve actually passed planets, asteroids, comets, hundreds of moons, stars . . . and you have too.
Each year we’ve been riding the Earth passport, you’ve ridden 584 million miles around our Sun. Each year.
There are supernovas and quasars, protostars and nebulae, but I miss all that. Instead of seeing that I’ve factually traveled 584 million miles this year, I shame myself I didn’t have the resources and bandwidth to hit Hawaii this year like my friend. That’s true.
I couldn’t make that 1000 miles. That trip to Hawaii I didn’t take is only .00017% of the 584 million miles I traveled this year.
But it’s not enough. I focus on the failure, the missing .00017% instead of the successful 584M adventure.
It’s not even ‘failure’ is it? It’s just somewhere my body didn’t travel that my ego said I should’ve.
Maybe I didn’t need to go to Hawaii, maybe I needed to be here? Is it possible?

Yet if that wasn’t enough, not only did I travel millions of miles through space, I did it with people I love.
Not perfect. But so many healthy wonderful supportive people all around me.
But still. Still somehow, I get frustrated the Padres haven’t clinched the Wild Card spot and lost last night, frustrated at the brown spots in my lawn. At my balding hairline.
Then I wonder when I’ll get that new truck, when bills won’t matter, when I’ll retire, or when she’ll finally say yes. Will she ever? Is it okay if she doesn’t? Is it possible Jonz?
And so my friend, here we are. Looking up at the stars together.

I often wish for things I don’t have. You know I ‘Wish upon a star’.
Friend, what if instead I: ‘Thanked my lucky stars’?
Hmm.
Thank you I traveled another 584M miles this year. Because some day, I won’t. Thank you lucky stars that we got to do this Inner Work moment together today.
What if we don’t need to log the extra .00017% miles to “Hawaii” this year?
What if . . . stay with me . . . what if . . . in my 27 billion total miles I’ve traveled so far, what if, I already have what I truly need?
Do you?
Mind 🌞
As Earth travels its 584‑million‑mile path we sweep past, and occasionally through streams of solar‑system debris, cometary dust, and even material from other star systems.
It’s a cosmic route filled with objects we never see, never feel, and never know passed within reach.
Astonishingly, I’m clipping along at 18.5 miles per second across the Milky Way. And somehow, I still tell myself I’m not “traveled.”
Miracles are within reach today, not just interstellar ones, but internal invisible ones too. They are yours 💫
