Holding Back Preserves Forward Motion
In a culture obsessed with acceleration, we forget that discipline is often the highest form of wisdom

Look I try . . . but I’m not a great investor. I do however know a few investor phenoms. They’re so good with money 💲🪙 👀
Notably they follow billionaire Warren Buffet’s famous investing rules. Rule 1: Don’t Lose The Money. Rule 2: Don’t Forget Rule #1.
Simple.
Too many times I craved a monster 1000% return, so I turned up the risk. I’ll cut the story short.
I broke rule #1—and in style.
I lost the money. In some cases (yes plural) all of it. 😭

It was a revolting acidic lesson. Shared with you for free 😆
I wonder » how life would be if I kept small simple rules » instead of chasing some great thing, some monster return. Small things.
Like:
Rule 1: Don’t lose the money when investing
Rule 1: Don’t miss the day at the gym
Rule 1: Don’t miss taking her on a date
Rule 1: Don’t miss meditation/spiritual chapel time today
Rule 1: Don’t lose the courage.
Rule 1: Don’t lose the opportunity to call and say I love You.
Rule 1: Wash dishes after you use them.
What are yours Friend?

Mind
In the arithmetic of capital, losses compound more cruelly than gains redeem 🤑
A 50% loss does not require a 50% rebound to recover—but demands a 100% return just to break even! 🤯
If you begin with $1 and lose 50%, you're left with $0.50. To return to $1, that $0.50 must double—requiring a 100% gain (not 50%).
Preservation precedes multiplication. Once impaired, the climb back is steeper than the descent ⛰️

Body
Feel this whole idea in your body.
Find a local stadium or office stairs. Find 10 floors. Somewhere you can start at the top.
Descend the 10 floors, then turn around and climb back
The descent is fast and easy; the climb back is slow and taxing—mirroring the energy asymmetry of financial recovery
Hence . . . don’t forget Rule #1 in whatever areas you value most
Just 4 Fun Trivia 😆
