Get Up to Answer the Door

Why the knock doesn’t mean the door will open

Heart

Funny how I thought I could do all 5 reasons on last Tuesday. Ahh Jonz . . . last Tuesday!

No one overestimates a deadline quite like I do 😉

But Friend, you are here. I’m here. Let’s knock the rest out together shall we?

Okay » Quick recap on our 10,000 Hour Rule:

Reason 1: It Doesn’t Work (Jim Carrey and Marriage examples)

Reason 2: 100 Hour Superpower has better ROI (Slyvester Stallone / Rocky movie enterprise)

Reason 3: Asymmetric success comes by breaking rules not following them.

Let’s keep this train going. So have you ever had a dream and thought:

Hmm, that was a bit weird?

Stop me if you heard this. You remember Twilight? The runaway vampire love story hit, you know Edward and Bella, you know the 3 Billion dollar enterprise? Yeah, that one.

How did author Stephanie Meyer write such a hit? Was it after her 10,001 hour of practice, practice, practice?

No. Of all things, the idea simply came to her in a dream. A dream. Bit weird.

Lifted from her own website she said:

“I can say with certainty that it all started on June 2, 2003. Up to this point, I had not written anything besides a few chapters (of other stories) that I never got very far on, and nothing at all since the birth of my first son, six years earlier.”

What: ‘Had not written anything besides a few chapters’?

She says she woke up from a vivid dream seeing the vampire who we know now as Edward 🧛

That’s not even our 100 Hour Superpower, that’s just one night.

What can you unlock in one night? Is it possible?

I thought to myself, ‘Oh well she had it easy, such a lightning bolt stroke of luck’.

Interestingly though, do you see it was equally easy to just toss it aside, to blow it off, to discard the dream as a random creative fly by? Instead she trusted her invisible world and pounced into action. Hmm.

That puts us here: Reason 4: Immediate action carries more power than a lifetime of preparation.

Have you ever wanted the 2,100% return on that stock? Or to hear them say “I love you too”? To get the contract, to get the book deal?

Friend, you read your smart—play along with me. What is the most translated book today by a living author? What’s your guess, throw it out there?

If you guessed The Alchemist by Paulo Coehol, you won a gold star, 40 Million+ copies ⭐️

Paulo at 38, get this, he wrote it in 2 weeks. Start finish done. Used his 100 hour superpower.

But the deeper takeaway? Yes publishers loved it right away, got an immediate book deal, he got the wish, got the prayer, got the ask. Bro thought he made it.

So good right? Maybe Maybe Not.

But the book did not sell, sat on the shelf. Thought he made it, but after the dismal dry run, the editor pulled it and gave him back all the books.

Sorry it didn’t work out. Need more hours I guess.

Have you ever sat on a shelf before?

Paulo took it as a setup, not a setback. Instead of putting the books in the attic, instead of going back to write 9,000 more hours, he turned off the hours and turned on his superpowers.

He knew what he had.

Paulo buttoned up his superpower cape. Going door to door, he himself sold the first run one by one. One rainbow brick at a time.

That tags our base at the last reason:

Reason 5: Superpowers Are Stronger Than Hours.

And that’s also our practice this week at Invisible World.

Use your superpowers. We don’t need to put hours into our passion, but put more passion into our hours. So good.

What do you love so much that you would sell door to door? What do you refuse to put in your attic?

Which are of your superpowers are stronger than just logging hours waiting for the odometer to someday turn 10,000?

We don’t need more repetition. But more faith and confidence. More heat down in the 27M° core.

You remember? It’s buttering your toast all the way to the edges. It’s eating your cereal one square at a time. It’s all blue sky.

I’m reminding you it’s all possible. All of it. It’s buttoning up the cape to be who you are meant to be 💯

Good luck this week 💫

Mind 🤯

Dreams are the only time the brain removes the editor, the judge, the limiter.

During REM sleep, the prefrontal cortex, the part that says “that’s unrealistic”, goes offline.

This is why dreams feel impossible and obvious at the same time.

It’s also why many world‑changing ideas begin in dream.

Twilight began with a dream. MLK Jr had a dream . . . the mind often whispers before it roars.

So…what might happen with your dream?

Soul ⚡️

🎵 This is the night
They say
Nothing is as it seems

Come! Sleep! Close your eyes
Come! Sleep! Give me your sorrow
And I'll keep watch for you
Until the dawn is breaking through
Until the morning wakens you

Come! Dream through the night
Come! Dream, and then tomorrow
You'll see your heart will know
Dreams are more precious than gold 🎶
